Adrian Sherwood in Interview and little On-U Sound Label Special

Time for 30th Anniversary of On-U Sound Records.

British producer Adrian Sherwood started the On-U-Sound label in London in the early 1980's as an outlet for scruffy punks and righteous rastas infatuated with reggae and its experimental spectrum of dub. Sherwood wanted to make good records. In the process, he influenced a legion of producers, decimated the boundaries of funk, noise, and reggae, and as a member of Tackhead, he made the position of the live mixing engineer a viable band member in terms of creative input.

On-U Sound released music for example of: African Head Charge, Dub Syndicate, Revolutionary Dub Warriors, New Age Steppers, Little Annie, Creation Rebel, Lee Scratch Perry and released the well know Pay It All Back compilations.
